This essay is a research essay. You will be conducting research on a topic, choosing the important points and reporting on them in the form of a Wikipedia article on the topic. However, it must be a topic that will allow you to do significant research in academic journals and should be in MLA format. You will be required to do a proposal, an annotated bibliography, a draft and a final. If your work is original, expands on an existing entry, or tackles an area that is not covered, and fulfills Wikipedia’s, I will recommend submission to Wikipedia. I will also help you to submit it. There is no page limit, since each article will require its own length, but it should be sufficiently in-depth, double spaced, in an appropriate font (see the syllabus), with an MLA heading.
